Metal Bellows products are inherently both clean and vacuum tight making them a natural fit for Semiconductor equipment and other related vacuum processes. Particulate contamination must be reduced to lower and lower levels given the ever shrinking fine geometries found on semiconductor chips. Most front end semiconductor processes are performed in a process chamber which is normally pumped to a relatively high vacuum. Metal Bellows products including vacuum feedthroughs, couplings and seals should be incorporated to minimize leaks in and around the vacuum chamber.
