Metal Bellows Vacuum Pumps/Compressors

Senior Aerospace Metal Bellows’ vacuum pumps and compressors use our welded metal bellows technology.  This allows for unique features that are not available with convention vacuum pumps and compressors. 

The central component of each of these vacuum pump/compressors is a welded metal bellows constructed from stainless steel.  Because all the wetted surfaces are stainless steel and there are no wearing surfaces these units are suitable for use in extreme environments where zero leakage, high reliability, and long life are required.

These units are available in a range of sizes from our single headed MB-21 to the twin head MB-602.

A double containment version is available for applications where radioactive gasses are involved or where loss of gas could be hazardous or costly.  These units use a secondary bellows as a leak tight seal.

Features

• Long Life – Capable of 10,000 hours continuous operation

• Stainless Steel Construction – All wetted surfaces are stainless steel except for valve assembly gaskets that are either Teflon or Viton.

• No Maintenance – No wearing surfaces and no lubrication required

• Hermetically Sealed – Hermetically sealed welded bellows that provide positive containment and contamination free sampling.  Every pump is pressure tested to assure leak tight integrity to mass spectrometer levels.

• Infinite Number of Cycles – Bellows and valves designed with stress levels below defined endurance limits of materials allowing for an infinite number of cycles.

• Sealed Ball bearings – Driver assembly containing permanently lubricated and sealed bearing.
